Traffic Violations in New York
New York uses the point system, meaning the more traffic and speeding tickets you receive, the more likely that your driver's license will be suspended. If you receive too many points against your driver's license, you will be forced to pay additional insurance premiums for up to three years and a monetary assessment to the New York Department of Motor Vehicles.
